Following a special commission to design the wedding gown of former Singapore President Ong Teng Cheong’s daughter-in-law in late 1995, he was encouraged to start his bridal line the following year.

Extending this signature handiwork to his bridal grown designs, Tan Yoong has managed to marry creativity with form. In his eyes, what constitutes good bridal design is a lasting appeal for the years to come. To this creative end, Tan Yoong’s philosophy has always been to design pieces that are simple but stunning, where less is more but this does not necessarily mean minimal.
